The Tamil Nadu government on Monday arranged for talks between the Film Employees of Federation of South India (FEFSI) and Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) to find an amicable solution to the ongoing salary row.

During the discussion attended by the higher officials of Labour Welfare Department and office bearers of FEFSI as well as TFPC, both sides (workers and producers) put forth their demands and claims.

After the first round of talks, it was decided to hold the second and final round of discussions on 9th February during which a solution to the wage issue is expected to be arrived at.

Responding to a request from the warring Tamil Film Producers Council and Film Employees Federation of South India, the Tamil Nadu government invited both bodies for a discussion on wage revision.
