Reese Witherspoon likes practical fashion

20th April 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Reese Witherspoon has been praised for her down-to-earth approach to fashion.

The 35-year-old actress always looks impeccable on the red carpet, and she displays her trademark beauty and elegance on the front cover of US Vogue's May issue.

Reese is wearing a top from designer Roland Mourets Spring/Summer 11 collection for the image, and the creator was thrilled because hes a massive fan of the star.

"We have dressed Reese four or five times before and she's really loyal," he told Vogue.co.uk.

"She's not pretentious about clothes, she just thinks they should do their job."

The cover was inspired by her latest movie Water for Elephants, which also stars British hunk Robert Pattinson and is set in a circus in the 1930s. Roland admires the aesthetic, as he thinks the way 30s fashion blended masculine and feminine looks was interesting.

"I loved this kind of 30s attitude she has on the cover," he said. "The depression period and the circus theme is an amazing mix. The picture has a really genuine attitude - it's a mix of boyish beauty with extreme glamour; a really complex beauty. The top shows the kind of simple draping I was doing before the Galaxy dress mixed with more structure. I love the picture." (C) Cover Media
