Rolling Stones memorabilia sells at auction

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has auctioned off memorabilia and personal artwork from his decades with the band.

Julien's Auctions told Reuters on Sunday memorabilia provided by the rocker and his ex-wife, Jo Wood, was sold online and at their Beverly Hills gallery on Friday and Saturday.

Items included leather and velvet jackets, guitars and a signed lithograph of Eric Clapton, which sold for $5,120.

The 65-year-old rocker's 1955 Fender Stratocaster guitar went for $60,800.

A white leather coat worn by Ronnie himself sold for $8,960.

A cardboard guitar cutout given to the star by bandmate Keith Richards fetched $6,875.

The auction was announced in September following months of feuding between Ronnie and Jo over jointly owned items.

The former couple separated in 2008 after 23 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalised in 2011.

Proceeds from the auction will be donated in part to Grammy Awards charity MusiCares.

The organisation offers help to those in the music industry in need of financial, medical or emergency assistance. (C) Cover Media
