December 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Aired on Sony Entertainment television, Saas Bina Sasural revolves around a girls life after marriage. But unlike many other serials sharing screen time on Indian television these days, serials which show the hardships that a girl has to face once she confronts her saas or mother-in-law, Saas Bina Sasural shows the conditions that Tanya has to live in after marriage, when she lands up in husband Tejs house, a house which has seven male members but not even one female! The circumstances that Toasty, as Tanya is lovingly called, falls in post marriage leads to entertaining and comic situations on Saas Bina Sasural.

In spite of protests from several members of his family, Tej has finally tied the knot with Toasty and the married couple is all set to begin a new journey together. Celebrations over, it is now the time for Toasty to take the blessings of her long dead mother-in-law and Tej especially prays for his mothers blessings which he feels is very essential in his new life. Meanwhile, all the brothers and dadaji leave the couple to themselves and go off to sleep, thinking that it is their new sister-in-law who will take care of the everyday chores.

While Toasty and Tej are still taking the blessings of their mother, Tejs father intervenes saying that he wants the house clean soon. This means that Toasty will have to wipe away her own footsteps which had been imprinted as part of the ritual of a Hindu marriage. The cleaning of the red watercolor footmarks and the huge quantity of rice lying on the floor is a strange piece of work for a newlywed bride to do and Tej is really sorry for the plight that he has landed Toasty in, but Toasty is happy that she can participate in the chores of her own house.

Now that she is married, her real test in life will begin, considering that Toasty has always been pampered to the core by her parents back home.
