(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sandra Bullock says that in the aftermath of finding out her ex-husband Jesse James cheated on her she didn't want to ever act again.

The Oscar winning actress was left heartbroken just days after accepting her Academy Award in 2010 for The Blind Side when Jesse's serial infidelity was exposed.

And Sandra has told the Associated Press that she believed that she would never recover from the ordeal.

"I was perfectly content to be permanently broken," Sandra shared. "I honestly didn't think I was in a place where I wanted to work or wanted to step out of where I was I wasn't prepared. But the opportunity was louder than my head."

Sandra was referring to her role in new movie Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close and credits director Stephen Daldry with luring her back to a movie set to star opposite Tom Hanks.

The film follows events surrounding the aftermath of the terror attacks on September 11 and Sandra said she was thankful to be working on such a worthy project.

"So we had a great time," she gushed. "It's no longer selfish actress' in the moment. I wanted to have an amazing time with him and fortunately, Mr. Daldry presented it. In every possible way, it was the best!" (C) Cover Media
