Despite being a major star, many people still have problems pronouncing Saoirses unusual first name, and she has heard all kinds of bizarre takes on it.

They crucify my name. Ive had Sor-shur, Surika, Say-or-eys, Sureese...Completely wrong, she told Total Film, who offered that those names sounded like skin problems, with Saoirse replying;

They do! They really do.

The star accepts there are a variety of correct ways to pronounce her name, although she prefers it when people use the version she does. The actress gave a lesson in pronunciation for fans wanting to make sure they address her correctly.
