8th May 2012

Aamir Khan's most talked about show 'Satyamev Jayate' was promoted on a large scale before it was premiered on television on Sunday, 6th May 2012. The promotion of the show was initiated with a 22 minute long theme song of the same title. The anthem which was released on television as well as the internet was a huge hit instantly.

Inspite of the promotions and the song being played on every portal, there were no controversies attached to it till the time show was released. However, it is not the same anymore.

Reportedly, Palash Sen, the lead singer of the Indian band 'Euphoria' has slapped a legal notice on Ram Sampath, the music composer of the title track 'Satyamev Jayate'.

Palash claims that the chorus of composer Ram Sampath's version of Satyamev Jayate is exactly the same as the song 'Satyvameva Jayate' from his 2000 album 'Phir Dhoom'

He said that the anthem of the show had been running on television for quite a while, but he had not seen the videos. And when he heard it, he was shocked.

He furthur added, he wouldn't have an objection giving Sampath the permission to use the tune of his version of 'Satyamev Jayate' had he asked him for his consent.

Meanwhile, director of 'Satyamev Jayate', Satyajeet Bhatkal feels that there is no similarity whatsoever in the tunes and the case is not even worth a reply.
