(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Scarlett Johansson has spoken out about her nude photos being leaked, saying she is "entitled to privacy".
The actress revealed she feels violated after the explicit images were posted on the internet earlier this month. Scarlett has never appeared fully nude in her movies, and she is keen to protect her personal life despite her fame.
"I think the question is kind of redundant, I think. Who doesn't want to protect their own privacy?" she told CNN when asked why she feels it is important to protect her privacy. "Just because you're an actor or make films or whatever doesn't mean you're not entitled to your own personal privacy.
"If that is sieged in some way, it feels unjust. It feels wrong."
Scarlett has admitted she took the naked photographs of herself, which were made public after her phone was hacked into. One of the pictures saw Scarlett posing topless, while another showed her bare butt.
Scarlett who split from husband Ryan Reynolds last year - admits that fame has been an "adjustment" for her. But she remains determined to keep her private life out of the spotlight.
"I think there are certain instances where you give a lot of yourself and finally you have to kind of put your foot down and say, Oh wait, I'm taking it back,'" she said.
The 26-year-old Hollywood star has been consulting with the FBI and also threatened legal action against anyone using the images. Just hours after the pictures surfaced online, her lawyer Marty Singer issued a stern warning.
"The highly personal and private photographs at issue capture our client self-posing in her own home in a state of undress and/or topless," Singer said in a statement. "If you fail to comply, you will be acting at your own peril. Please govern yourselves accordingly."
It is believed authorities are now "honing in" on the criminal gang responsible for the leak.
Scarlett is the latest victim of the phone-hacking ring believed to be responsible for stealing intimate photos of at least 50 female stars.
Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera have also previously had revealing pictures posted online.. (C) Cover Media
