After the outstanding success of his last film 'Queen', director Vikas Bahl is all set to take his next project 'Shaandar' on floors this August.

While he has already signed Shahid Kapoor as the male lead of the film, he recently expressed his desire to cast Alia Bhatt as the leading lady.

"We have finalised Shahid. I would like to have Alia in the film, but we are still working on the script. So its too early to talk about it (the heroine)," Vikas said, though he chose not to confirm if Alia has been approached for the film.

When asked about the offer, even Alia chose not to confirm nor deny anything. "I prefer not to talk about anything right now. Whenever it has to come out it will," the actress told a leading daily.
