4th February 2014
Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has been known as a director's actor. He has been in the industry for more than a decade now and he has successfully maintained the balance between commercial films and parallel cinema. Every filmmaker he works with goes gaga about his zeal for his art and dedication to perfect the role.

This quality of his is put up for test yet again as the actor has completely surrendered to filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj's vision for his next, 'Haider'

After working under Vishal in the film 'Kaminey', Shahid's career reached a peak as the film still remains the best of his career.

It came as no surprise when the two collaborated yet again with 'Haider' which is Vishal's interpretation of Shakespeare's Hamlet set against the backdrop of militancy in Kashmir.

Shahid who will be seen in a couple of different looks in the film claims that when he signed the film he decided to surrender to Vishal completely.

"I believe in the script and have completely surrendered to Vishal sir's vision of my character and my look," Shahid said.

Vishal too in return complimented his 'Kaminey' star for his loyalty.

"Its commendable the dedication with which Shahid bit into his role and its every aspect. And he is doing complete justice to Haider," said Vishal.

The movie which also stars Tabu, Shraddha Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon is currently being shot in Kashmir and is set to release on September 12 this year.
