STR aka Simbu, gave his views on Vijay Awards-an annual event organized by Vijay TV to honor excellence in Tamil cinema, on his microblogging page.

'I don't go to vijay tv awards because of mahendran who decides the awards other than talent !!! So I don't respect tht and its my decision,' wrote Simbu.

Simbu, who is known for his upfront and frank comments further tweeted, 'yennuku rendu vati award kuduthum nan polla boss :) adhu nalla andha awardaye announce pannama vittutanga !!!' (Meaning: I didn't go to the awards ceremony even after they selected me twice) 

'Its a very personal decision so let's just leave it there :)' Simbu further wrote, adding: 'outside world never comes to know the inside politics ... And I think time is changing and for sure one day things will become better !!!'
