(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Slash has a phobia of driving a car with his arm daggling out the window.

The musician is best known for his stint as lead guitarist in Guns N' Roses, and says playing the instrument is his life. He thinks that is why he has such an odd fear, as if he lost his arm he would be unable to continue one of his biggest passions.

I have a phobia of leaving my arm out of a car window when I'm driving, he explained. I think it has something to do with playing the guitar and needing my arm.

The 45-year-old loved playing music from the second he picked up the guitar. He is well known for his previous wild lifestyle, but insists partying was always secondary to making music.

The first time he managed to strum notes on the guitar, Slash was overcome with emotion.

Guitars are the coolest, sexiest things ever, he said. I was overwhelmed the first time I put three notes together that sounded how they were meant to sound. (C) Cover Media
