Sonu Nigam recently made headlines when he tweeted a series of tweets about the prayer of Muslim religion Azaan. But little did he know that his open remarks will land him into a major trouble. Social media users soon started trolling him on all the social media platforms and even made derogatory remarks. Now according to reports a maulavi has announced a sum of rupees 10 lakhs to the person who will shave Sonu's head.

The recent tweets by Sonu are a proof that the singer is miffed with such trolling and has started replying in his own way. After the reports Sonu tweeted, "Today at 2pm Aalim will come to my place, and shave my head. Keep your 10 lakhs ready Maulavi" and "And Press is welcome to participate at 2pm."

For the uninitiated, the whole issue happened when on April 17, 2017 Sonu in a series of tweets expressed his discomfort over the morning prayer Azaan in the mosques. Read his series of tweets-

"God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India."

"And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?"

"I don't believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don't follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True?"

"Gundagardi hai bus..."

"Dear everyone. Your stand exposes your own IQ. I stand by my statement that loudspeakers should not be allowed in Mosques & Temples. Period."
