Taylor Armstrong has been left terrified by a series of death threats against her and her young daughter.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star received the menacing Twitter messages over the weekend, RadarOnline reports.

The messages included threats to kidnap her and to cause harm to her five-year-old daughter Kennedy.

"Taylor absolutely freaked out when she read the death threats," the source told the site. "These were credible serious threats against Taylor and her daughter Kennedy.

"The tweets that were sent to Taylor have been turned over to the FBI."

Taylor was left devastated when her estranged husband Russell Armstrong committed suicide last August and her new book reveals the violent abuse she claims to have suffered at the hands of the financier during their marriage.

But Taylor is now focusing on raising her young child and is doing everything she can to protect their safety.

"Taylor will be consulting with security professionals and assess what changes she needs to increase," the source added.

"Taylor is assisting the FBI with the investigation and she wants the person responsible for the threats prosecuted."
