Mani ratnam’s 'Kadal' has now been the talk of K-Town since quite some time. While people are still murmuring about Samantha walking out of the project, Mani Ratnam has already found a new face for his film. 

Thulsi, the younger daughter of Radha and sister of Karthika, has replaced Samantha in the movie. A few days after Samantha walked out; Thulsi met the ace director along with her parents. A source confirmed that the actress will be debuting with this movie, opposite Karthik’s son Gautham who is a fresher too. 

'Since Thulasi is a school going girl, Mani feels that she would fit well to the role of a 15-year-old girl in Kadal,' revealed a source. Call it sheer coincidence or luck, but Karthik and Radha also had debuted in the industry together with 'Alaigal Oivadhillai' almost 30 years ago.
