Veteran comedian 'Idichapuli' Selvaraj passed away in Chennai on Monday.

According to sources, the actor was complaining of breathing problems and was rushed to a local hospital but died on the way.

He had acted in more than 100 films and had shared screen space with MGR, Sivaji, Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan among others. He is the elder brother of noted comedy actor Pandu.

Selvaraj was 73 and is survived by his wife Chellam and daughter Vasanthi.
