September 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Ever heard of a filmmaker letting out word of assurance for his fans much prior to commencing the project? Lingusamy is the man of self-confidence, who remains sure-footed about his scripts and it has been his mantra of success.
Following the grand success of Paiyaa in both Tamil and Telugu titled Aawara, Lingusamy is all set to commence his next film titled Vettai. It has been a real suspense about the film's hero and guesses were that it would be either Jeyam Ravi or Silambarasan. Surprisingly, Lingusamy left out these options and has signed Arya to play the lead role.
The entire team of Vettai addressed media channels about the project of how it happened. Producer Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Productions mentioned that as Lingusamy narrated the script, he could visualize the raciness that was very much prevalent throughout.
Throwing more light onto the film, Lingusamy said, "The film will be 10 times racier than my previous film. I am pretty sure this will be the best of Arya's career as my previous films - Sandakozhi, Run and Paiyaa turned to be great milestones for Vishal, Madhavan and Karthi..."
Yuvan Shankar Raja is signed for the music and Nirav Shah handles cinematography. Having worked with these technicians in so many films, Arya said, "Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored music for almost all my films and I have worked with Nirav Shah in 6 films. Our combination has been successful and we will for the best in Vettai as well."
