Hansika Motwani was earlier signed to play one of the female leads in the Tamil version of 'Vettai'. But there were reports on the media that she was replaced by Tamannaah Bhatia for the same role. However, the 'Velayudham' girl has clarified that she is not replaced by the 'Paiyaa' actress rather the former walked out of the flick citing date issues.
A section of media reported that Hansika Motwani was ousted and brought Tamanna Bhatia on board for some reasons.
However, irked by the speculations, Hansika took to Twitter to express her anguish over the reports.
She wrote, "Unfortunately had to back out of the Tamil remake 'Vettai' due to date problems, as they have to release the film by the end of the year."
Hansika Motwani, who is one of the busiest actresses in the South, has as many as six projects to finish and due to the delay in the start of 'Vettai', she stepped out of the movie.
"As I have 6 projects on board currently,I couldn't provide bulk dates to the 'Vettai' remake. But never the less, I wish the team all the best. So here's the real reason why I back out of the project. Now there can be a full stop to all the fake stories created on the net and print," she concluded.
The Telugu version of 'Vettai' is titled 'Bhale Thammudu.'
