The singer-turned-fashion-designer has a large assortment of the classic handbags, but hasnt revealed exactly how many she owns. Her husband, soccer star David Beckham, loves treating her to them as he knows how much she loves them, so each one has sentimental value.

I have quite a few, she told the British edition of Grazia magazine. David bought most of them for me as presents and I absolutely love them.

Victoria showed off her Spring/Summer 11 collection at New York Fashion Week earlier this month. She has added handbags to her range and enlisted the help of Katie Hillier, the creative brain behind many Marc Jacobs and Luella bags. The designs are based on 24 hours in the life of Victoria, reflecting the different handbags she uses during a single day.

I knew exactly what I wanted, but I needed someone who had the experience, she explained. I travel a lot, so I need a travel bag. I need a proper daytime bag for when Im with the kids, so thats the Victoria bag. And I need a clutch for evening.

Victoria admitted nerves and excitement got to her before the new collection was shown on the catwalk. It went down a storm with critics, much to her relief.
