(Cover) - EN Fashion - Victoria Beckham has been nominated for a British Fashion Award.
The former Spice Girls singer’s fashion label has been announced as a nominee for the Best Designer Brand at the British Fashion Awards, which are set to take place this December.
Victoria faces competition from heavyweight fashion houses Burberry, Mulberry, and Pringle of Scotland, who are all nominated for the same accolade.
Dubbed ‘the fashion Oscars,’ the awards celebrate the best in world style, and Victoria’s nomination after just four seasons is considered a real honour.
Victoria made the transition from pop star to fashion designer in 2006 when she launched her own denim label. She subsequently released her own eyewear collection and several fragrances before launching her eponymous designer label specialising in elegant eveningwear and tailored outfits in 2008. She now boasts a string of A-list clients, including fashionistas such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Cameron Diaz.
Other famous faces hoping to scoop prizes on the night include the Burberry model Lara Stone and the Transformers 3 star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who are both nominated in the Best Model category while Christopher Kane, Erdem Moralioglu and Phoebe Philo for Céline will compete for the coveted Designer of the Year prize.
