Happy about the way the 'Velayudham' climax scene has been shot, 'Ilaya Thalapathi' Vijay has gifted gold chains to technicians who had helped him a lot while shooting the sequence.

According to sources, director Jayam M Raja recently screened the climax scene for Vijay, when they were canning a song sequence at a popular mill in north Chennai.

"Vijay was thoroughly impressed with the way the climax was shot. A happy Vijay immediately ordered gold chains worth one sovereign each and personally handed them over to the chiefs of various technical departments," sources say.

Produced by Aascar V Ravichandran and the music is by Vijay Antony. Hansika Motwani and Genelia D'Souza are the two heroines. A grand audio launch function is being planned in Madurai on August 28th.
