Three personalities related to the Kannada cinema industry are likely to fight for the by-election to the Channapatna Assembly seat. Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy of Janata Dal Secular has resigned the MP post to contest this Assembly seat and it is a prestige for him because he wants to give an answer to his political rival the current chief minister BS Yediyurappa. HD Kumaraswamy is producer, exhibitor and distributor in Karnataka. CP Yogishwar former actor, former MLA has procured the seat from BJP this time. He is known for the controversial Mega City Development. He had even invited Aishwarya Rai to the inaugural when she was not a top star and the bahu of the Bachchan family. Yogishwar has acted and produced big film 'Uttar Druvadind Dakshina Druvaku' and few other small films. Actor of over 200 films, Ambarish, the former union minister who lost the assembly elections in the past is now seriously considered for the Channapatna seat by Congress-I. Ambarish has a mammoth fan following and he hails from nearest constituency, Mandya.
