December 8, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The Ridley Scott directed 'Robin Hood' movie was released just in 2010 with Russell Crowe as the lead character. And now, before we bid adieu to the year 2010, there is a buzz that the Wachowski brothers are planning to re-invent the myth of Robin Hood in their next venture.
And surprisingly, they have reportedly offered the lead role to 'Hitch' star Will Smith, who turned down their offer to play Neo in their sci-fi movie 'The Matrix'.
There is a report that the Wachowski brothers have sold the Robin Hood script to Warner Bros and want to direct the project with Smith as their preferred leading man.
Earlier, the myth hero Robin Hood was played by the Hollywood stars like Kevin Costner, Sean Connery and Errol Flynn.
As per the popular beliefs, the best movie in this line till date was 1993 flick 'Robin Hood: Men In Tights', which was a parody on Robin Hood.
Well, there is no official confirmation from Will Smith yet so before you start speculating on how Smith will look as Robin Hood, wait for a confirmation from the actor himself!
However, if Smith accepts the offer and the Wachowski brothers really work towards perfection then it will be the best Robin Hood movie till date.
