(Cover) - EN Showbiz - William Shatner looks fondly on his youthful days as a "bandit."
The 81-year-old actor didn't always have passion for thespianism.
William admits that as a child he was more inclined to steal than to express himself through the arts.
"[I was a] bandit," the star revealed to ET Online.
William got away with theft for a while, but was scared straight when his old man caught him in the act.
"I stole a bag of candy when I was six," William laughed. "I was in real trouble, and I cried in my father's arms. I was in deep trouble."
William will make a guest appearance on the upcoming season premiere of TV show Rookie Blue.
The Hollywood legend believes his longevity in show business is resultant of his charm.
"I have natural talent," he smiled.
William's one-man show Shatner's World opened a few months ago on Broadway in New York City. (C) Cover Media
