Helmed by Shoojit Sircar starring Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu, 'October' is an emotional tale of love that touches our heart. Looks like the season of Autumn has called on in this month of April surrounded by summer as the box-office number for the film has proven to be a success. The start was quite average but the film picked up the pace as per Saturday and Sunday numbers.

October collected Rs 5.04 crore and on Day 2, it has minted Rs 7.47 crore. On Sunday, the film earned Rs 7.74 crore. In three days of its release, October stands at Rs 20.25 crore. The film managed to grow with an amazing word of mouth publicity and quite loved by the audiences. Though the film is not everyone's cup of tea and is admired by a very niche audience.    

Talking about the film Varun said,"I've never been more unhappy when a film has been over. I just wanted to stay in that zone with these amazing people who are doing what they were doing. This is the only film where I have not looked at the monitor when I have given a shot, this is the only film. Knowing me with all the films I have done, I will always go look at the monitor. This is the only film where I, for some reason, did not go and check the monitor, I was not going only."
