Though he is basically a Kollywood actor, Shaam became popular in Tollywood, thanks to the movie 'Kick' starring Ravi Teja.

For his new movie, the actor has taken an extraordinary step which might even turn out to be dangerous to his health, but just for the sake of his passion he has willingly done so.

Apparently it is heard that director V. Z. Durai's next movie '6', will have Shaam playing a role with 6 get ups and it is shot in 6 different places. For one of the looks, the actor has reduced his weight from 89 to 72 kgs, and grew his hair and beard long. When the director told him that he wanted a very different look, Shaam spent 12 days without any sleep and food which resulted in big swelling under his eyes.

At first the director was afraid with his decision because if anything went wrong, Shaam would be the victim for this. But when Shaam was satisfied with his look, he called the director for the shooting. Everyone was shocked to see him and were not ready to believe the look.

The director immediately shot the required scenes and requested the actor to take some rest and get back his usual look.

Shaam said further, "Our great legends Rajini sir and Kamal sir are always my inspiration for taking any kind of risks for the betterment of the character. I was shocked when saw Rajini sir's risky efforts for Robot character in Enthiran. Kamal sir surprised me in films like Dasavatharam. For 6, I just following the footsteps of Rajini and Kamal sincerely. Because this is the most important film in my career. I never used makeup kits for this movie".

Now, everyone will eagerly be waiting to see the other 5 looks, when this one was totally surprising.
