'I don't want to be a hero as it has loads of responsibilities upon us' says Santhanam, who seems to have refused couple of big offers with good remuneration as well. The actor made his debut into films through Silambarasan's 'Manmadhan' and much prior to that had made a great sensation with his small screen comedy show 'Lollu Sabha'. Says Santhanam: 'Instead of acting in couple of films as a hero, I can act in 5 movies as a comedy actor and earn more money. When acting as a comedian, there are fewer responsibilities. Be it gain or loss, we have nothing to do with it as we do our job properly. But when it comes to hero, we have got to do more. If we are on the epitome of success, it acts as a sure way to bring us down. I love to be always a comedian.'
