(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ashlee Simpson has reportedly drunk dialed her ex-husband to try and win him back.

The 26-year-old singer called her estranged husband Pete Wentz after having a few drinks, Us Weekly is reporting.

Pete and Ashlee have filed for divorce but remain on good terms for the sake of their two-year-old son Bronx and have been seen regularly going on family outings together.

But a source told the magazine that Ashlee wants to try and get her family back together again.

"Ashlee was telling Pete how much she misses him and wants him back," a friend of the Fall Out Boy star said.

The insider dished that Ashlee is so desperate to get him back that she even asked his sister for help but to no avail.

A rep for Ashlee denied the call but the friend saying that Pete "will never go back to her" and added that "he's in a good place".

Pete had reportedly started dating his ex-girlfriend Michelle Trachtenberg again after they were spotted together this summer. (C) Cover Media
