Now that the Mullaperiyar issue has snowballed into a major crisis between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Bharathiraja, recently  went on a protest pressing for the rights of Tamil Nadu in the issue, has reportedly made up his mind to take a tough decision.

If sources are to be believed, he might show the door to Karthika (the elder daughter of yesteryear top actress Radha) and Iniya, the leading actresses of his forthcoming film "Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum", as both the actresses hail from Kerala.

'Since Bharathiraja is leading the Tamil film industry in voicing for the cause of Tamils in Mullaperiyar issue, he finds it odd to have two Malayalee actresses in his upcoming film. So he has decided to replace them with Tamil speaking actresses,' sources say.

One more thing which is cited as the reason behind the director's decision is the places in where he had planned to shoot the film. 'Since he wants to shoot the movie in and around Theni, where the protests for Mullaperiyar are going on a full swing, it is feared that the agitators might pose a trouble to the project,' sources add.
