(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Britney Spears looked very much in love with her boyfriend Jason Trawick during their romantic holiday in Mexico.

Britney turned 29 on December 2, so the couple decided to celebrate by soaking up the sun in Puerto Vallarta. They stayed at a private villa at an exclusive resort, and even had their own chef. Jason wanted to make sure Britney enjoyed their break and arranged a special surprise for her birthday.

"When they landed, she got to the [private] villa and was blown away," a source told People magazine. "Jason had arranged a red velvet cake for her birthday.

"They seemed very much in love.

Britney has been working hard on her new album recently which she has announced will be released in March and was thrilled to take a break from her busy schedule. The couple made the most of the good weather and their quality time together.

They suntanned and did a lot of relaxing and decompressing, the source added.

Last week, Britney used social networking site Twitter to announce her excitement at plans to celebrate her birthday with Jason.

"OK, off on a romantic weekend with Jason for my birthday. xoxo Brit (sic)," she tweeted. (C) Cover Media
