Elizabeth Banks has joked she wouldn't wish the level of Jennifer Lawrence's impending fame "on anybody".
The actress stars alongside the Oscar-nominated star in the highly-anticipated movie The Hunger Games. With the action-thriller set to be a massive success when it is released later this month, Elizabeth says Jennifer needs to prepare herself for the spotlight that will undoubtedly ensue.
Elizabeth who plays Effie Trinket in the film has laughed about the hype surrounding the film.
"I have no idea [how she's going to cope] and I wouldn't wish it on anyone!" she laughed to Cover Media at the European premiere of The Hunger Games.
The Gary Ross-directed film also stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. Elizabeth says the up-and-coming cast were a delight to work alongside.
"Everybody is amazing. They are very young but so talented and easy-going," she gushed.
"Everybody took the work really seriously, but no-one took themselves too seriously, and it made for a very playful set."
Elizabeth also spoke about her no-nonsense character. The Hunger Games, based on the popular Suzanne Collins novel, tells the story of a post-apocalyptic North America. One boy and one girl from each of the 12 districts surrounding the all-powerful Capitol are selected to fight in a televised battle to the death.
Effie works as an escort for District 12 where Jennifer's character Katniss Everdeen is from.
"She is cold, but I approached it as she's doing a job, and the job that she's doing is cold," she laughed.
Elizabeth also shrugged off pressure from fans of the book.
"I read the books long before I ever signed up for the movie, and I love the books and I love the characters and I love Effie. So when it came my way, I jumped at it," she smiled.
The Hunger Games is released worldwide from March 23 2012.
