(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Roberts has recalled screaming in terror the first time she watched a Scream movie.

The 20-year-old American actress portrays Jill Roberts in Scream 4 the fourth instalment in the famous Scream horror franchise which is due for release this April.

Emma was only five when the franchise began back in 1996, although she caught up with the scary films as a teen and they left her terrified.

I remember watching the films when I was 13 and thinking they were like nothing Id ever seen. Id be laughing one minute and then screaming in terror the next I used to have to check every room in my parents house before bed to make sure there wasnt a killer hiding in the closet! she laughed in an interview with Empire.

The rising star was thrilled to land a part in the scary movie, and had a good feeling about the role due to the fact she shares a surname with her character. The superstitious actress took the name similarity as a good omen.

We have the same surname, so I knew it was a sign! she beamed. (C) Cover Media
