(Cover) - EN Star Style - Emma Stone's friends thought she looked like a "b***h" with blonde hair.

The American actress is best known for having fiery tresses, even though her natural shade is blonde. The stunning star went back to her light locks to play Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man, which is due for release next year.

Emma says her friends didn't appreciate her blonde locks, but didn't tell her till after she'd dyed it back to red again.

"I didn't really think about it, because I've had it for five years, but then I just had blonde hair for Spiderman and I dyed it back as soon as I could to red," she said when asked if she had more fun as a redhead.

"And I walked into my apartment and my friend Max was there and he said You look a lot funnier as a redhead' and I was like Really?' and he said Yeah, you've seemed like a b***h for the past six months!'"

Emma thanks movie producer Judd Apatow for her signature fiery tresses. The 22-year-old star has joked that the popular American director and screenwriter had the power the change the way she looked.

"I was a blonde my whole life and then I dyed my hair brown when I was 15 and then I went in for Superbad and the other girl had brown hair, and Judd Apatow walked in and said Make it red!' and ever since then I've been red," she told Conan O'Brien.

"It just instantly changed colour," she joked. "He has so much power." (C) Cover Media
