(Cover) - EN Movies - Eva Mendes relates to all her film characters and thinks most people will also be able to.

The 37-year-old actress was recently seen in Last Night, which focuses on the morality of relationships. Eva plays Laura in the movie, an attractive work colleague of married Michael Reed, played by Sam Worthington, who seduces him on a business trip.

Despite her character coming across as a temptress, Eva maintains that every role is relatable to most people in some way.

"I immediately connected to all of the characters and to all their situations. I think most movie-goers will connect to a little bit of each of the characters because we have all kind of been in somewhat similar situations," she explained in an interview with British newspaper The Independent. "I'm confident that we have all been in these situations or know someone who has and so can relate to all these situations, especially if you are of a certain age."

The actress, who has appeared in films including Bad Lieutenant, Hitch and The Other Guys, normally plays characters in broken relationships. Eva says Hollywood has always produced movies focused around failed romances, and believes there hasn't been an unusual surge of late.

"There have always been break-up movies, I don't think there has been more lately," she said. "My favourites are Crimes and Misdemeanors and Interiors, I don't know why it is all Woody Allen at the moment!" (C) Cover Media
