After making it big in cinema, Gautham Menon is all set to step into television. The ace director will start wielding megaphone for a TV serial which will have actor-filmmaker R Parthiban in the lead.

'It will be a crime thriller on the lines of Kaakha Kaakha, the super hit movie made by Parthiban a few years back. Parthiban will play the tough police officer which was portrayed by Suriya in the film. The serial will be aired on a popular television channel soon," say sources.

At present Gautham is busy directing his maiden trilingual, titled Neethane En Ponvasantham in Tamil. The Kollywood version has Jeeva and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles. Ilaiyaraaja is scoring music for the movie, which is nearing completion.

After the release of Neethane En Ponvasantham, Gautham will have to start Yohan Adhyayam Ondru with Vijay in the lead. Also, he is producing a movie titled Thanga Meengal, directed by Ram of Katradhu Thamizh fame.
