Hamsa Honored by VGB

1st July 2011
Music Maestro and writer Hamsalekha was felicitated by the entire team of Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga recently. Hamsalekha has just completed sixty years on June 23.  It was a nice gesture from the Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga team, which they thought it fit to felicitate the greatest music director and writer who had changed the course of music and lyric writing in the Kannada film industry. It is also a fact that VGB music director Hari Krishna had worked under Hamsalekha as a music conductor in many films. Writer and director Nagendra Prasad and dialogue writer and actor Malavalli Sai Krishna have been greatly influenced by Hamsalekha's music and writings.  Nagendra Prasad had also worked with Hamsalekha for some time.

Hamsalekha said that he was happy to see many of his juniors working for the film Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga. He was more than happy to see Nagendra Prasad sharing some of his responsibilities with others like music director Hari Krishna and writer Malavalli Sai Krishna though he was himself a multi-talented personality. "The happiest moment for any creative person is when his colleagues in the industry felicitate him. Today I am having the same feeling' said Hamsalekha.

Nagendra Prasad, Hari Krishna and the film's hero Vijaya Raghavendra highlighted many facets of Hamsalekha's tremendous talents.
