Ranjitha filed a complaint with the Chennai city Police Commissioner on Tuesday alleging that videos and pictures showing her with Swamy Nithyananda were morphed. She sought action against Sun TV Network for repeatedly telecasting the clippings of her.

The actress also held a press meet where she said that she had faced immense pressure to prevent her from filing a complaint against the media houses. The actress said she had been warned against filing a complaint or visiting Chennai.

She wanted the Tamil Nadu government and the Chennai Police to take stringent action against these media houses. "They threatened me saying that if I come to Chennai, I would be arrested," she said.

Ranjitha delayed the complaint as she was threatened and warned not to come to Chennai but felt secure now and had full faith in CM Jayalalithaa and the CoP, she said.

Asked about alleged negotiations some media house representatives allegedly held with her then, she finally said the persons are from Sun TV, Dinakaran and Nakheeran.
