Rajinikanth fans were thrilled on Wednesday, as the Superstar landed in Chennai after recovering from a kidney-related problem, from Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.Crackers were burst and sweets were distributed as the Singapore Airlines flight carrying Rajinikanth touched Chennai.

Rajinikanth did not disappoint his fans, as he got down from his car and waved to people who had gathered at the venue for more than three hours.

Rajini's wife Latha and daughters Aishwarya Dhanush and Soundarya Ashwin accompanied the Superstar from Singapore. Security at the airport was tight. Rajnikanth drove from the airport to his residence at Poes Garden. Plans are on to resume the shooting of 'Rana' in October with Rajinikanth back in good health.
