(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly went after rising actress Jennifer Lawrence before she was linked to Nicholas Hoult.

In the past Jake has dated some of Hollywoods most beautiful leading ladies, including Kirsten Dunst and Reese Witherspoon. More recently he was believed to be dating pretty country singer Taylor Swift, although he is currently thought to be single after they split earlier this year.

Despite reports of flirting with actress Mila Kunis during the weekend of the Golden Globe Awards, another female believed to have caught Jakes eye has emerged - blonde beauty Jennifer.

The 20-year-old actress has received huge praise for her portrayal of Ree in thriller Winter's Bone. Although she has been recently linked to British actor and X-Men: First Class co-star Nicholas, it is thought Jake was eager for her affections when they met a while ago.

Sources have told E! Online Jake was so taken with Jennifer that he went after her, although apparently the actress wasn't into it so nothing occurred.

A friend of Jake s has claimed this was absolutely not true, although Jennifers pal has said it is totally the truth.
