(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelly Rowland says she believes Beyonc Knowles will be an "incredible mother".

The former Destiny's Child singer made the statement after Beyonc announced at last night's MTV Video Music Awards that she is expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z.

Kelly told People magazine that her long time friend will be a great parent as that is just part of her personality.

"I think she'll be an incredible mother, because she's always been motherly," Kelly shared.

"I think that she takes after so many traits from her mother. And I just think it's going to be so natural for her. It's natural for her now!"

The Motivation singer attended Sunday's House of Hype VMAs after party where she revealed that she was in on the little secret.

"I have known for quite a while, and she's happy, and Jay is happy, and that's all that counts," Kelly said.

She added that Beyonc and Jay-Z have already started discussing baby names but she did not spill the beans on what the new addition to their family may be called.

An insider told Us magazine that the Single Ladies singer, who turns 30 in September, was "close to three months along" in her pregnancy.

"She wasn't going to announce it but she is so excited she couldn't hold it in," the source shared. "Jay is ecstatic and over the moon. He really wanted this so badly."

Beyonc and Jay-Z wed in 2008 but have been together for nine years. (C) Cover Media
