(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga is "so happy" that her duet with Sir Elton John is in the running for an Oscar.
Earlier this week it was announced that Hello, Hello is featured on the long list for the best song category at the 2012 Academy Awards. There are 39 tracks mentioned, of which five will make it into the final category.
Gaga and Elton recorded the song for animated movie Gnomeo & Juliet, which Elton and his partner David Furnish produced.
"Just heard my duet "Hello, Hello" with Elton is up for nomination at the Oscars! Gnomeo & Juliet is such a beautiful film. I'm so happy (sic)!!" Gaga wrote on Twitter.
Elton got another mention on the long list thanks to his track Love Builds a Garden, which was also featured in the film.
Other stars to make the list include Mary J. Blige, who sang Living Proof for The Help and Will.i.am whose track Hot Wings (I Wanna Party) was featured on the Rio soundtrack.
Robin Williams and Brad Paisley's duet Collision of Worlds from Cars 2 has garnered them a mention, while Zooey Deschanel's track So Long from Winnie the Pooh is also included.
It's been a great week for Gaga, who is celebrating the success of her latest album Born This Way. It came out in May and is still selling well.
"Sipping tea in Japan with Haus. Feeling so grateful. We sold about 1 million albums a month worldwide since the release of BORN THIS WAY (sic)," she wrote. (C) Cover Media
