Bollywood film fraternity suffered a huge loss with the sudden exit of veteran actor Om Puri who ruled the Indian Cinema for decades. Not only in India, Om Puri was famous in the overseas too. The ongoing Oscar Awards 2017 paid homage to the talented people whom they lost in the recent past and Om Puri too was included in it.

He was honoured in the "In Memoriam" montage at the ongoing ceremony. 

Singer and songwriter Sara Bareilles delivered a special musical performance to pay the tribute. Om was remembered for his role in many Hollywood films like 'Ghost and the Darkness', 'East Is East' (1999), 'My Son The Fanatic' (1997), 'Wolf' (1994) and many others. His film 'Ghost and the Darkness' is one of the best films even today.

It's such a proud moment for all of us that this acting gem is honoured at the Academy Awards!
