(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga is having a giant egg installed at her home so she can sleep in it rather than a bed.

The flamboyant singer stole the show at this years Grammy Awards when she arrived at the ceremony inside a huge egg-shaped vessel. She stayed inside it while she made her way down the red carpet, meaning her entourage had to carry her. The star later hatched on stage before performing her single Born This Way.

Gaga has spoken extensively about what a life-changing experience being in the egg was. She spent a long period of time encapsulated before the Grammys and felt as if she was being reborn.

It had such an impact on her the star has decided to decorate her New York home in honour of the vessel with the remodelling rumoured to be costing around $1.9 million.

This house project is Gagas new baby. The egg vessel is being made especially for her. Shell be able to sleep in it, in place of a double bed, a source told British newspaper The Daily Mirror.

She felt so at home in the egg on stage she spent hours in it meditating and says when shes in it she feels at peace.

The star also hopes to have some of her more unusual outfits on display. She is famed for stepping out in just her underwear, and recently appeared on American television with horns bursting out of her shoulders and face.

Gaga has been collecting one-of-a-kind pieces while travelling the world on tour and all her special finds will feature throughout her home.

The work is set to start in a couple of weeks, with her long-term style helper Nicola Formichetti set to help plan how best to show off Gagas unusual collection of pieces. (C) Cover Media
