Leighton Meester: Be careful what you wish for

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leighton Meester thinks her upcoming movie Monte Carlo will warn cinemagoers to be careful what you wish for.

The 25-year-old American actress stars in the romantic comedy alongside Selena Gomez and Cory Monteith, and is looking forward to its release later in the year.

The film tells the tale of three female holidaymakers visiting Paris who end up being taken to the glamorous destination of Monte Carlo when one of them is mistaken for a British heiress.

Leighton says although this first appears to be a dream holiday, the film actually warns viewers to "be careful what you wish for".

The movies leading man Cory is equally excited about Monte Carlos release. He thinks the picture will provide audiences with plenty of laughs.

"Monte Carlo is a tale of stolen gems and teenage high jinks not teenage high jinks, really; young-adult high jinks," he smiled to MTV.

Meanwhile, Disney star Selena portrays the small town girl who ends up being mistaken for a British heiress. She agrees the movie will appeal to cinema fans looking for a good time and a sense of escapism.

"It's a fun movie about three girls who try to go on a vacation," she explained. "And it ends up being horrible and my character gets mistaken for a British heiress, and they figure, 'What better way to make a horrible vacation amazing than to be a British heiress?'" (C) Cover Media
