A month after getting elected as MLA from BJP in a by-election from Channapatna constituency; actor, producer turned politician CP Yogeshwar, who is known for the infamous megacity project is caught in the net of violations. CP Yogeshwar is booked for serious fraud. The audits of Mega City Developers and Builders Limited lead to this uncomfortable position for Yogeshwar and his party BJP.

CP Yogeshwar, for the inauguration of Mega City Developers inaugural event, had Aishwarya Rai as the chief guest. The residential sites he had planned at a cheaper rate, reversed when his mega project 'Sainika' Kannada film bombed at the box-office.

Income tax sleuths raided Yogeshwar's premises two years ago. Since the company's managing director Yogeshwar himself is alleged to have misappropriated the funds, the focus of investigation is on the MLA. Meanwhile, in April 2010, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) filed a charge sheet accusing the MLA of cheating people to the tune of Rs 37 crores, after having promised site allotments in Vajragiri Township. With such cases Yogishwar's enemies in politics are demanding his resignation.
