Even as his well-wishers and fans in Tollywood and Kollywood were awaiting the release of Kanchana, actor-choreographer-director Lawrence Raghavendra has postponed the release of the film by a week. Earlier he had announced that the movie would hit the screens this Friday (July 15). However, as per the latest decision, the film will be able to see the light of the day only July 22.

"This is because of the release of another bilingual starring Vikram (Nanna in Telugu and Dheiva Thirumagal in Tamil). Also there is a Harry Potter film. So Lawrence decided to play it safe by delaying Kanchana's release by a week," sources say.

Meanwhile, Lawrence is hopeful at the film's prospects in the box-office. "Salman recently watched the trailers and promos of Kanchana�and he was thoroughly impressed. He expressed his desire to act in the film's Hindi remake and talks are on currently," he says.
