(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Malin Akerman has described her Rock of Ages co-star Tom Cruise as "superhuman".
The pair are just two of the stars of the upcoming musical comedy, alongside other names such as Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Tom will get the opportunity to showcase his singing talents in the picture built around classic rock hits from the 1980s, as he portrays ageing musician Stacee Jaxx.
Malin, who plays magazine reporter Constance Sack in the movie, has gushed about her admiration for Tom in the past, and has now even gone so far as to compare him to a superhero.
"He is beyond unbelievable," she enthused to okmagazine.com during an event for the prestigious Comic-Con convention.
"He is such a hard worker. He's so focused. You know, Tom Cruise is superhuman. He's a superhero in his own sense, because anything he puts his mind to, he can do."
Tom will sing a host of classic hits in the film, scheduled for release in 2012, such as Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi and Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar on Me. Malin has recalled the first time she saw the actor perform.
"I watched the first sort of live performance that he did where we had 400 extras, we were in this big night club which was set up sort of as the Bourbon Room, and I stood there and I felt like I was at a Poison concert, or a Def Leppard concert," she beamed.
The actress added she appreciates her co-stars physique. She considers Tom, 49, to be in great shape for a middle aged man.
"For his age. What?" she laughed. (C) Cover Media
