The fight is not between Dhanush and Simbu, as one might anticipate, but between Dhanush and R. Parthiban. The former's Mayakkam Enna and the latter's Vithagan will hit the screens on November 18, competing for honors at the box office.

Vithagan is produced by Manickam Narayanan under the Seventh Channel Communication banner. Parthiban, who plays the lead character in the film, has also directed it, where Poorna plays the female lead. Music is given by Kadhaal fame Joshua Sridhar.

On the other hand, Mayakkam Enna is directed by Selvaraghavan and produced by Gemini Film Circuit, with G V Prakash Kumar's music. Richa Gangopadhyay plays the lead in this musical entertainer.

Producers of both the films - Seventh Channel Communications and Gemini Film Circuit - have promoting their respective films aggressively. A trade source said, "Since Vithagan and Mayakkam Enna belong to different genres, they are sure to provide distinct entertainment to the audience."
