Saxena's associates get bail

Sun Pictures chief operating officer W Hansraj Saxena, who was arrested by the Chennai city Police on cheating charges on July 3, filed an application for bail at the Madras High Court on Wednesday. In his petition, Saxena had said that �Sun TV Network was a reputed concern and has got high moral responsibility towards society and he (Saxena) has not committed the alleged cowardly act as alleged by the prosecution".

Meanwhile, Saxena's three associates were granted anticipatory bail by the Madras High Court. Justice G Rajasurya ordered that K Sasi Kumar, V Thambidurai and Mohammed Sadiq have to each take a bond worth Rs 10,000 and get surety from two persons each and also appear in Tallakulam Police Station in Madurai daily.

Saxena was arrested by KK Nagar police on July 3rd, based on a complaint of film distributor T S Selvaraj that Sun Pictures had cheated him of Rs 82.53 lakhs in a deal regarding the release of the Tamil movie 'Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai'.
