(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Richie Sambora is checking into rehab, according to a report.

The Bon Jovi guitarist completed a tour with the band last year, which stretched from February until December. He has previously received in-patient treatment for alcoholism, checking into Cirque Lodge in Utah in 2007. That decision to get help came after his high-profile divorce from Heather Locklear, which was finalised just days before the musicians father died of lung cancer.

According to RadarOnline, Richie is planning to get help for exhaustion and to aid his sobriety. He has reportedly been struggling since his bands The Circle Tour and feels the time is right to get help.

Richie recently has been drinking too much, and wants to get his life together, a source told the website.

The 51-year-olds bandmates Jon Bon Jovi, Tico Torres and David Bryan are all offering his support at the moment. They are keen for him to get better and have apparently told him to take as long as he needs to ensure he gets back into shape.

Richie has had a busy year, a friend told RadarOnline. I think this was a culmination of all the things that overloaded his life and finally he realised he needed to take care of himself.

Bon Jovi are scheduled to perform in America and Canada as part of their Live 2011 tour this month and next, and in European countries including the UK and Ireland in June. (C) Cover Media
